Dr. Linda Wansi is a board-certified pediatric dentist who is passionate about creating positive dental experiences for infants, children, teens, and patients with special healthcare needs. She is dedicated to helping every child feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while building healthy smiles that last a lifetime.
Dr. Wansi attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both her undergraduate studies and dental school. After dental school, she completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Community Regional Medical Center, where she received advanced clinical training in comprehensive dental care and treating patients with diverse dental needs.
From early in her dental training, Dr. Wansi knew she loved working with children and hoped to one day specialize in pediatric dentistry. Following residency, she practiced as a general dentist in private practice for seven years, gaining valuable experience caring for patients of all ages while continuing to feel drawn toward her passion for pediatric care.
Driven by her love for working with children, Dr. Wansi returned to training to pursue her dream of becoming a pediatric dentist. She completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. She later became board certified through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and remains committed to continuing education and staying current with the latest advancements in pediatric dental care.
Known for her joyful personality and gentle approach, Dr. Wansi loves connecting with children through laughter, encouragement, music, and creating a fun, welcoming environment where patients feel at ease. She believes children thrive in an atmosphere filled with warmth, compassion, and positivity, and she strives to make every dental visit a happy and uplifting experience for both children and parents.

01. What made you want to become a pediatric dentist?
I always wanted to be a medical doctor, but after shadowing my dentist in college, I fell in love with dentistry. Once I started working with children, I knew pediatric dentistry was my true passion. I worked as a general dentist for seven years before applying for pediatric residency, and I’m so glad I did—I haven’t looked back since!
02. What’s your favorite part about working with kids?
Kids are the best because they love to have fun! I love making jokes, telling silly stories, and even making up little songs—and they totally get it! I get to be goofy all day long, and it makes every appointment a joy.
03. If you weren’t a dentist, what would you be?
Probably a Children's musical artist , professional jingle maker or a children’s entertainer. I love dancing, singing and making people laugh!
04. What’s your favorite joke?
Why did the dentist become a musician?
Because he knew how to fill in the gaps!
05. What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
Cookies and Cream all the way!
06. Do you have a favorite Bible verse that inspires you in your work?
Yes! Colossians 3:23 – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” It reminds me to serve every child and family with love and dedication.
